Self-Employed

Self-employed immigrants must demonstrate that the have the relevant experience and the intention and ability to become established economically in Canada by creating their own employment and contributing significantly to Canada in one of three areas: Canada’s cultural life, Canada’s ability to compete in athletics, or Canada’s economy through the purchase and management of a farm in Canada.

Applicants are not required to make a minimum investment or employ others, but they are expected to establish a business and become self-employed.
